Duke Energy has a planned outage on Thursday, 12/07/23 at 12 a.m. that will affect several ElectriCities customers in Huntersville. Affected areas include Rosedale, Vermillion, Northstone, Gilead, Huntersville-Concord, and Sam Furr Road. It's expected to last three hours.

The ElectrCities Huntersville office and customer service phone lines will be closed on Friday, September 29th, to allow staff to attend a company-wide meeting. Please use the After Hours Emergency number #704-892-7426 in case of an emergency.

Power has been restored to the Walden subdivision in Huntersville. We appreciate your patience.

There is a scheduled outage for customers in the Walden Subdivision tomorrow, Tuesday, September 19, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. for a transformer change out. Approximately 200 customers will be affected. We anticipate the outage to take three to four hours.

On Wednesday, 8/2/23, at 8 a.m., there will be a momentary outage affecting approximately 450 customers in the Centennial, Vermillion, and Bellington communities while ElectriCities performs switching.

Monday, April 17th, at approximately 10:00 a.m. ElectriCities will be performing switching in the Valencia area. We anticipate this will be a momentary outage.

Huntersville power outage: The storm caused a tree to fall and broke 2 power poles in Dallas St. Approximately 10 customers are affected. Crews are making repairs and expect to have power restored by 4 PM.

All power has been restored in the Bryton Ridge Parkway, Meacham Farm Drive, Winding Gorge, and Ardmore Forest area.

The warm weather brought out the squirrels to frolic and play. Unfortunately, one of them decided to investigate some high-voltage equipment. This squirrel is what caused the unscheduled power outage today. He will not cause another one!

ElectriCities is experiencing a widespread power outage affecting the area from Town Hall to Sam Furr Road. Crews are investigating the cause.
