@0hour1 The option is self explanatory, Article II of our constitution grants the sitting President full authority to leave alliances. NATO is an alliance. Most people are getting confused the process of starting or entering an alliance or treaty, which DOES require the Senate.

In 2023, I opposed an outrageous amendment that barred any president from unilaterally withdrawing the U.S. from NATO. I voted against handcuffing the President & for preserving his Article II authority to terminate treaties.
The Founders placed this power in the executive, unlike a divided Congress, because only the President can speak with one voice & act with the speed needed to negotiate or exit treaties.
