‼️Marathon might be the first game that actually forces you to get over gear fear. The way the game is designed really pushes you to risk your kit. You’re meant to bring good gear into runs, lose it sometimes, learn from it, and jump straight back in. It’s honestly refreshing compared to games where players just hoard their best gear forever. Last week I hosted family for Thanksgiving. My 12-year-old nephew asked for the WiFi password. He wanted to play Roblox on his iPad. I looked at the device. Unmanaged. No antivirus. No encryption. I’m an IT Professional. I don't run an open network. So I didn’t give him the password. Instead, I spent 45 minutes provisioning a Guest VLAN. I set up a captive portal. I throttled the bandwidth down to 56kbps. Then I blocked all traffic on ports 80 and 443. He came back crying. He said it wouldn't load. My sister screamed at me to "just let him play." I told her that Zero Trust architecture doesn't care about bloodlines. We didn't have a "fun" Thanksgiving. But we had a secure perimeter. You’re welcome for the compliance.

A sick idea for Tarkov’s Black Division
Give them cultist spawn chance % on Labs.
When Black Division spawns on Labs, make the power go out and the emergency red lights to the building kick in at the start of raid, have them roll through the map terminating Scav Raiders and PMCs alike.
Would give you a reason to bring NVGs to Labs or even scramble to steal theirs.

PvE will always be a more “fun” experience when PvP is always a coin flip if an encounter is actually going to be fair (not a hacker) or fun (good gun fight and not just gooner angle peaks).
I’ve felt for a while PvP is only good for clip farming and not an actual experience.

I'm not even remotely joking or like ragebaiting or anything here... PvE is allowing me to just play #EscapefromTarkov and not deal with any crazy extras and I'm actually really enjoying it. Not that hard tho. Mods support could be insane.
