They are a coping mechanism to not committing to the process. Reading a 230 pages book on the power of habits or the compound effect just mean  «I’m a lazy coward so Instead of working let’s read a book about work to preserve my self-image ». Can you Imagine Napoleon or Alexander the Great reading « Getting Thing Done » or « the power of now » ? Intrinsic desire can’t be engineered, stop lying to yourself if it’s just a funny game for you just take the conventional path. Same with the Healing Traumas Bullshit trend going on all over social medias : They psyoped men to think that they need to heal before reaching their goals, But what they don’t tell you is that The greats of this world all had Traumas that gave them the Intrinsic desire to exercise will to power and transmute the energy in a mission to repair their broken self-image trough an achievement. Traumas are deeply linked with survival instinct and will to power (god energy) as soon as you heal, you kill the motor of action and you end up in a contemplation mode. That’s why the most fulfilled people are the high achievers in any field and the religious (they find healing by following their gods' commandments and seeking redemption). Everyone else is in a constant neurosis by contemplation and all sort of self-destruction and coping mechanisms.
