A woman films outside a modern Chinese shopping plaza and catches storefronts with hilariously off-brand names like GUGCU, McDona, ICUIS VUTION, HERME RWES, FENDING, and BAKES STAR. The knockoffs look almost legit from a distance. Peak China bootleg game. Which misspelling wins for you?
A man spots three girls with a small campfire on the beach and quickly runs over to put it out by kicking sand on the flames. Beach fires are often not allowed for safety reasons especially with kids playing nearby. He handled it pretty aggressively though did he go a bit overboard?
@nytimes If that’s true, it’s serious—someone being in critical condition isn’t really a moment for cheap shots. Whatever you think about Rudy Giuliani, this is the kind of news where you either wish them well or keep it moving. Not everything needs a harsh take.
@creepydotorg Equal parts scary and hilarious—imagine thinking something’s seriously wrong, then realizing your bedsheets literally dyed you. Moral: not everything is as bad as it seems… but wash your sheets 😅
A man in Derbyshire woke up convinced something was seriously wrong with him.
His skin had turned bright blue overnight.
He was taken to the hospital and placed on oxygen while doctors tried to understand what had happened.
Then one doctor wiped his arm with an alcohol swab. The cotton came away blue immediately.
It turned out the man was not sick at all. The color had come from a new set of unwashed navy bedsheets he had been sleeping on for two nights.
@creepydotorg One of Hong Kong’s most disturbing cases—an extreme act of cruelty, a limited legal outcome due to evidence, and a chilling reminder that it only came to light through a confession.
In May 1999, police in Hong Kong found a severed head stuffed inside a Hello Kitty mermaid doll.
The victim was Fan Man-yee, a 23-year-old nightclub hostess who had been kidnapped by three men and tortured for more than a month before she died.
The case was only discovered after a 13-year-old girl involved in the torture went to police, saying she was being haunted by Fan’s ghost.
She led officers to the place where Fan had been held, where they found her skull sewn inside the doll, along with one tooth and some internal organs.
The men were convicted of manslaughter, not murder, because there was not enough of her body left to prove the exact cause of death.
They were sentenced to life in prison.
@creepydotorg This is really disturbing. A small situation escalated into something irreversible, and it shows how important it is to take warning signs and access to weapons seriously before things go too far.
In 2024, 14-year-old Carly Gregg came home to find her mom searching her room after being informed she was vaping weed at school.
Without saying anything, Carly grabbed a .357 Magnum from her parents bedroom, walked back in, and shot her mother in the face.
Then Carly used her mother’s phone to text her stepfather: “Are you almost home, honey?”
She also invited a friend over and asked if she was “squeamish around dead bodies.”
When her stepfather arrived, Carly shot him too, hitting him in the shoulder before he managed to take the gun from her.
She was convicted of first-degree murder and attempted murder, and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Paris Jackson said that her father Michael Jackson used books as currency during their childhood.
