@themettenburger I just cant get behind people not excited about this, Their only argument is that they wanted if we trade back but from what ive heard the chiefs seem interested in him and who knows about the others. I think Tate was the hush hush pick for alot of teams and we sniped him

More on Brian Daboll, per multiple sources: • Daboll was easily one of the most coveted OC candidates in this cycle. • After being fired by the Giants, Daboll connected with GM Mike Borgonzi — to express how much he loved Cam Ward and his interest in Tennessee. Daboll and Borgonzi have prior history dating back to 2012. • The Titans were well aware of how much Daboll loved Ward. Why? Sources say the Giants made a massive push last year to trade up to No. 1 for Ward, offering the No. 3 pick, a 2025 first-rounder, and multiple Day 2 picks. The Titans declined. • Titans GM Mike Borgonzi put on a full-court press to land Daboll as OC regardless of who the head coach would be. When Robert Saleh emerged as their HC choice, Saleh was already on board with Daboll. • The Bills HC job opening threw a wrench into things, as Daboll understandably had interest there. • Borgonzi and Saleh stayed persistent. Once Buffalo went with Joe Brady, Tennessee immediately got Daboll on a plane to finalize the deal. • In a year with 18 OC openings, the Titans believe they landed the top candidate of them all.

I just don’t see a weakness in Tate’s game. - great athlete - developed separator with a lethal rocker step - unreal body control in a prototypical frame - advanced at the catch point - can play on the boundary I still think Tyson is a 1st round guy, but I think he’s athletically limited to a degree, I don’t think he handles physicality particularly well, and (I don’t really weight this all that much) he does provide much after the catch.
