A fresh poll from Datafolha, one of Brazil's main pollsters, dropped today, and the left-wing president is sitting comfortably ahead of right-wing Senator Flavio Bolsonaro heading into October.
In a one-on-one runoff, Lula takes it 47% to 43%, the exact same spread as last month, so the race basically hasn't budged.
And in the most likely first-round setup, it's wider still, Lula at 41% to Bolsonaro's 31%.
A 10-point gap this far out, with numbers that won't move, is a rough spot for Bolsonaro to climb out of.

Officers were called to a Canoga Park condo Saturday after a neighbor reported a woman screaming inside. The screaming was just the family celebrating the title.
Police say the dog, a 2-year-old named Jameson, rushed them when they walked in, and they opened fire.
A wellness check ended with a dead family pet. The neighbor meant well, but Jameson paid for it.
