That is a clear officiating error by VAR. Lucas Digne wasn't even looking at the player when that challenge happened... how was that not reviewed?

VAR is getting ridiculous. If the referee doesn’t book Paredes, VAR can’t intervene and Embolo stays on the pitch. Because Paredes was shown a yellow, VAR suddenly has jurisdiction and Embolo gets sent off. The exact same incident can produce two completely different outcomes depending on whether the ref flashes a card first. That’s not justice—that’s a loophole.
