We’re getting close to a milestone! The final bridge beams in Evansville will be delivered and set Friday. That means Friday is expected to be the last day of short stoppages to cross U.S. 41 in the afternoon to deliver the beams on site. Thanks for your patience.

I-69 ORX will complete the interstate connection between Evansville & Henderson. It’s a transformational project, & the work underway in Evansville is critical to the new bridge that will be built. Check out this short video to hear from some crew members on this major project.

The last set of approach bridge beams in Evansville are scheduled to be delivered and set this week and next week. Short, 5-10 minute rolling closures on U.S. 41 are expected in the afternoons as beams are delivered. Work in Evansville is expected to be complete late this year.

Crews will finish pouring the concrete bridge decks for all three approach bridges in Evansville this spring. Two layers of steel rebar are tied in place prior to pouring concrete, which will strengthen and reinforce the driving surface.

The contractor that will build the new I-69 bridge is expected to be identified by late this year. Work is scheduled to begin in spring 2027 and be complete in 2031.
