Firefighters arrived before EMS multiple times this week to provide life saving measures to people experiencing an overdose. When our dedicated EMS staff are busy or delayed, we are there to help.
Thanks to everyone who supported our fundraisers/ events in 2024 most recently our #toydrive .With your help we delivered gifts to 650 kids in #owensound. L531 responded to about 1100 calls - a 30% increase over the last few years. We look forward to serving our city in 2025 🎉

🔥 It’s National #FirePreventionWeek! This year, we spotlight smoke alarms and their critical role in saving lives. We urge all #IAFF affiliates to partner with their local fire departments to educate the public on the significance of having properly functioning smoke alarms.
Chat w/ Fire Prevention Officer Greg Nicol at the Owen Sound Library this Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Officer Nicol will have a fire safety house on hand and be available to answer questions or provide tips for all ages. He’ll be on the Main Level from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
