On April 23, 2026, IAMAI's HealthTech Council hosted a roundtable discussion in collaboration with ICRM NIRDHDS, chaired by Dr. Mona Duggal, Director, ICMR NIRDHDS, on the topic: Health Data in the Digital Age: Balancing Innovation, Regulation, and Ethics.

The group focused on the policy landscape and concerns of the Indian health tech sector, and the improvements required for the industry while conducting the discussion from an ethics and ease-of-doing-business standpoint.

It was attended by various health tech participants from verticals such as telemedicine platforms, e-pharmacies, mental health players, medical devices' community and hospital ecosystem.

The incorporation of several industry recommendations in the Rules has ensured that the regulatory framework is implementable, future-ready and aligned with the evolving nature of technology and digital platforms.

The notification marks an important step towards establishing a clear, consistent and forward-looking regulatory framework for the online gaming ecosystem in India.
