Speaking during a development cooperation conference in Sweden, former CBK Governor Njuguna Ndung'u said Kenya's President has overrun state institutions, leaving officials to comply out of fear.

Re: De La Rue Hiyo maneno ya sale of De la rue, one of the things they do apart from printing currency is printing government security documents Eg ballot papers. Wicknell has a company called Ren-form that also does that. Connected or coincidence?
Shoba Gatimu@shobanes

Gather around. Story time. This past week/weekend, the prominent Zimbabwean scammer Wicknell Chivayo was in Statehouse Nairobi meeting Ruto. The last time he was in Kenya was about 3 months ago during a closed door meeting where he was handed a document in an official govt of Kenya emblazoned folder. You see the reason why these two incidents are very important is because after the 2023 Zimbabwean election, it emerged that there had been massive fraudulent corruption perpetrated by the government through a South African Family owned Company called Ren-form that supplies all sorts of electoral material specifically focusing of biometric kits and ballot papers. This company after receiving funds from the government then goes ahead to wire Wicknell funds to his company Intratrek as he is the 'Local agent.' In one of the incidents, a server that goes for about R 90,000 was billed at R23,000,000. BVR kits they had quoted at $5,000 tripled pricing in the final invoice to ZEC (Zimbabwean Electoral Commission) and we're sold for $16,000 a piece. Interestingly enough, on both occasions that he has been in Kenya, he has also passed by the Tanzanian Statehouse to meet the other embattled president Samia Suluhu. This so called system maintenance is not coincidental that it happened on the same weekend when the biggest electoral fraud perpetrator was in the country. This is a story I've followed for over a year now. From their official introduction by Mnangagwa at Statehouse Zimbabwe to Dubai for that Climate maneno. Will keep updating as we go. As I say, I believe in coincidences, but only to a certain point

Why would anyone even propose a bill to stop IEBC from livestreaming polling station results? Don't they know that our election must be TRANSPARENT, FREE, FAIR, and VERIFIABLE? These people want to take us back to the Stone Age. That attempt will be met with resistance.

Btw for me, it doesn't matter what Ruto achieves in terms of "development projects", this right here is the main reason I'll vote him out. He is using parliament, Police service, DCI and the other ministries to undermine the people. He has no respect for the constitution

For a Pessimist I’m Pretty Optimistic
Kenya is finally getting that Nigerian look and filter. Grey gloomy skies of doom & posh cars driving on dusty roads alongside run down filthy shanty towns. Think of it as that video of Burna Boy driving his McLaren on flooded bad Nigerian roads but now the Kenyan version.

I just saw the video of the Garissa ICU during the blackout. 💔Watching life-saving machines literally shut down with ZERO backup power is haunting. How are human lives being treated as optional in 2026? Who is actually going to be held accountable for this?

The next person who wants to lead this country needs to stop telling Kenyans they have a plan. We are tired of hearing about plans. You already know the problems!! Odious debt, corruption, a broken education system, a struggling health sector, unemployment and the high cost of living and so much more. None of these issues are new. Tell us exactly what you are going to do about them. Kenyans don’t need another campaign built on slogans and promises. We need specifics, timelines and accountability. Anyone asking for our vote should first tell us, in detail, how they intend to fix this country. We already know the problems. What we’re waiting for are the solutions. This business of saying, “We’re meeting, we’re consulting, we’ll unveil our agenda when the time is right,” is not going to work anymore. The time is now. Tell Kenyans how you will deal with the debt, what laws you will change to fight corruption, how you will fix public hospitals, what reforms you will make to education, where the money will come from, what you will cut and what you will prioritise. WANTAM!!

A new Bill has been proposed that seeks to stop the IEBC from livestreaming election results from polling stations. If passed into law, Kenyans will no longer be able to follow the results live as they are announced at polling stations.
