We’re incredibly proud of our teammates at IAPWA Penang, who have officially renewed their Memorandum of Understanding with MBPP for another five years, continuing their vital trap-neuter-release/rehome programme for stray dogs 🐕🌏
Initially signed in 2017, this partnership is a powerful example of how humane, compassionate stray animal management can work in practice. At a time when many communities continue to struggle with stray animal welfare challenges, Penang Island is showing that there is a better way – one built on kindness, collaboration, and long-term commitment.
This renewed agreement also highlights the importance of partnerships between NGOs and local government, working together professionally and respectfully for the good of both animals and local communities.
A huge congratulations and thank you to our dedicated team in Penang Island, and to the leadership of MBPP for continuing to champion humane solutions for stray animals. We’re honoured to support this work and excited to see what the next five years will achieve 💙
