Yesterday was a deeply reflective day for me, one that reminded me of the journey of life, the power of mentorship, and the enduring value of service. I attended the burial service of Chief Daniel Ogboja at the age of 95, a remarkable man who once served as my Principal at CAC Efon Alaye Grammar School during my secondary school years and remained a close family friend. I also paid my respects to his wife, Chief Mrs. Dorcas, my favourite English teacher, whose lessons and guidance helped shape my early path. Standing in that moment was a humbling reminder that we are all products of those who nurtured, taught, and believed in us. The service, held at Methodist Church Nigeria, Iwaro, Osi Ekiti, was a celebration that truly made a difference.
