I know exactly how it feels to fall out of routine with the gym. You miss a week and it feels like you can't go back. All momentum has dropped. What do you do on those days where you know you need to go but that ache in your mind says no? You go anyway. Restart the rocketship. Day one all over again. Muscle memory kicks in, you feel even stronger. You kick ass man and you don't care what people think. You're not there for an achievement. Not to look good on social media. You're there to set a standard for yourself. The physical discipline transforms into mental fortitude. The gym is a metaphor for life because what you do in the gym correlates to the amount of work you put into the outside world. You don't go into the gym half assed. You go into the gym pumped the fuck up. Ready to make the iron bleed rust. Just like the real world. You go to work after a solid gym sesh man your coworkers who likely just woke up and washed their ass, got a coffee and went to work are probably wondering why the fuck you're so pumped. You already killed it that morning. You already crushed a few endeavours. After a short while you gained the momentum to go back a second day and a third day. Now you're the fucking rocket ship blasting through the stratosphere. BOOM. You're back in motion, back on the hustle. Sharp as a tack.
