@BajanWitDaHoodi She would have had to prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was speaking about her because he didn’t call her name or tag her. However, she would have been well within her rights to especially if she could prove that his claims harmed her reputation or business.

@BajanWitDaHoodi Anyone who has tried to get the police or a lawyer to bring a charge against someone knows the process is that your claim cannot proceed unless it meets the legal threshold. Connections don’t override that. The charge sheet is VERY clear about why she is being charged.

California state law DOES have protections for ICs, but the judge ruled that she can’t file a claim under CA state law because the movie filmed in New Jersey. This is a horrifying reminder of how fucked our system is
