@sama Anthropic/CC is only better for me right now because I got accepted in their open source program. I like OpenAI/Codex but got ghosted by their open source application. I'd rather get denied than ghosted @sama I'm sure there are others that feel the same

@rockorager I'd love to see this adopted in all major terminals!

Today I am introducing Glyph Protocol for Terminals. Every TUI, prompt, and editor today assumes you've installed a Font somewhere, then silently fails. Glyph Protocol allows applications register vector glyphs, and can query whether a codepoint is already covered.

After a full day in Akihabra, here's what I got! It took some hunting to find the JRPG merch I was looking for, but I'm happy with these Trails, Persona, Final Fantasy and Rune Factory goodies. (Also it's hard to see, but the buttons at the top are all Elaine. 😁)

I'm pretty happy with the state of my side projects at the moment. Looking for new development projects or developer tools to dig into. Any ideas?

Ghostty lets you control the opacity of unfocused splits. Just add this to ~/.config/ghostty/config: unfocused-split-opacity = 0.85 Super useful when working across multiple panes, you always know where your focus is. If the opacity doesn't load on startup, hit cmd+shift+, to reload your config.

I have fallen in love with Ghostty Terminal. Look at this subtle, but incredibly useful opacity trick you can use to show "focus" when working in multiple panes. Shout out @dani_avila7 who showed me this. What a legend. Ghostty config file: unfocused-split-opacity = 0.55

@spinelessaisha I wouldn't trust Brave with a 10 foot pole. They've done too much shady shit in the past.

@LinuxHandbook A whole gui to customize a terminal app with pretty straight forward customization key-value pairs is a hell of a skill issue

If you love Ghostty terminal, you'll love this nifty web tool. It allows you to configure the most common options visually, and then get a configuration file that you can apply over your own. You can also upload an existing configuration and work on top of it 😎
