@IBBurckhardt @phillipdawson It depends on the project. That would certainly be a preferred practice. And yes, participants can delete content. Sometimes participants regret disclosing something in an interview and if they want to strike it from the record, they have the right to do so.

Do you use direct quotes from participants in your research publications (theses, papers, conference presentations etc)? If so, do you *explicitly* mention this in the participant info docs? Or do you think it's implied when people consent to recorded+transcribed qual interview?

@DrSarahEaton @phillipdawson Do amendments get incorporated as part of the rendition/log of the data, so that there is context of the response being amended? This would reflect as an accurate capture/snapshot of sentiment (for example) at a point in time and transforming over time. No deletions?!

@phillipdawson Yes, it is explicitly stated in the consent forms. Participants are also invited to review the transcripts and and they have the power to strike words or passages and also to revise their responses.

Interesting site, but it's important to note that the overwhelming majority of AI use is going to be completely invisible. Just because we can spot some AI, does not mean we can spot most or even a significant portion of it.
