He fundamentally shaped how we design and interpret clinical trials in IBD, turning rigorous methodology into meaningful progress for patients. He was a visionary who bridged science, medicine, and compassionate care — and a mentor who generously shared time, insight, and encouragement with generations of clinicians and researchers.
