IBLRG is made up of volunteers from a transport background, most of which don't actually live on the Brigg line. Our job is to increase footfall to demonstrate a case for a better rail service for Brigg and Kirton-in-Lindsey. We are not associated with, or support NNLCRP.

@inoobkilervip @alexhornbyrail We've had a message from the Northern Railway train crew manager at Sheffield Midland, saying the service is running but they've just forgot to put it into the ticketing system and should be hopefully showing soon.

Hi @alexhornbyrail @IBLRG — the 13:20 Cleethorpes - London King’s Cross (arr 16:41) via Retford on Wed 15 Apr isn’t showing on your booking engine. Similar Doncaster/Cleethorpes journeys are missing too, and other retailers don’t show it either. Can you check why?

@SteveJo72541188 The idea was already named the Politicians Express, because it was to be timed to bring them into London Kings Cross early in the morning, and then leave in the evening time, meaning MPs in the area could get to the House of Commons easily.

@IBLRG No intention to support any ridership growth, obstructive non-pragmatic additional requirements for Market Rasen. The only answer as at Brigg is to allow a private sector Open Access operator to run additional services and carry all the risk. Nationalisation has failed already.

The MP for Gainsborough, has receive a letter from the Secretary of State for Transport with regards to a planned Cleethorpes to London KX service. Locals saying he has a train service in Gainsborough that runs just 1 round trip Monday to Friday, which improvements are needed.

@IBLRG From what I gather theres extra trains for one day only . For the rest of the year there's one a day if you're lucky.

@iam_me31244 We know that 😉 TransPennine Express are taking a more hands-on approach when it comes to the Brigg Line.

@IBLRG Its because Northern dont want to run any more trains on the line. They would close but want to avoid embarrassing closure proceedings. So they close by proxy. They have run the Whitby line down too. Thats because of the Boro to Whitby bus service. Arriva run that. Got it?

@IBLRG @cashandcarrots Only about 25 % the depot sign it If some of those aren't working the weekend that reduces amount available. Rest day work might be needed 💰. To be fair let's hope it is the start of something though .

@IBLRG @KirtonLindseyTC Great that this is happening but what a lost opportunity with them not stopping at Worksop or Retford. I was going to support this by having a trip to Cleethorpes but I won’t be able to do this as they don’t stop at Worksop.
