The time had come to part ways but it was not a goodbye. With the resolve to meet again for another conference encapsulating the promising world of Psychology, Day 3 of ICCP 2023 officially came to an end with a lot of takeway messages and memories. #ICCP2023

Adolescent lies at a stage of developmental sensitivity and poor emotional regulation can exacerbate many other risk factors. ER Steps trains parents and educators to inculcate emotional regulation skills and educate adolescents on the same.

With a huge treatment gap and a worldwide need for mental health resources, programmes that reach a large population at a lower cost are needed interventions of the hour. CHRIST University in collaboration with Maimi University unravels their new research called ER-Steps.

Perichoresis (peri: around, choresis: in sync with) essentially refers to the infusion of the Holy Trinity as one God in the Christian understanding. In counselling, a perichoretic framework assists the counsellor and the client undergo a relational and mutual indwelling.

Ingnoring ontology and ontological mobility are two challenges that counselling deals with currently. With technological advances that aim to arrive at a “transhumanist” or “post-humanist” reality (E.g. trials with Musk’s Neuralink), what does it really mean to be a human today?

Religion has always been an area of discussion in Psychology. Dr Matthews George from Dharma Jyoti Vidya Peeth, Faridabad, takes this discussion further and illuminates ontological choreography, an holistic approach towards counselling. #ICCP2023

“Everyone has a story.” Dr Nathanial Brown from John Hopkins University shares an autobiographical journey from foster care to serving other people. His story edified an aura of inspiration for the crowd.

Relational leadership, as the name suggests, emphasizes on relationships. It takes into great account of peoples’ perception and how they view their value in the organization. Thus, emotional is a great component in this process. #ICCP2023 #LeadershipDevelopment

Employee well-being is an emerging area and there is great attention on Positive Organisations that have stemmed from Positive Psychology. Dr Viju P Devassy from CHRIST University, Delhi NCR, proposes the development of Positive Organizations in regard to relational leadership.

“One camnot be neutral in the times of oppression,” said Dr Bawa. This keynote cast light on the duality of fragility and strength that is inherent in the human experience. Steve Biko’s words uplifts the efforts in illustrating the message of this research.

Developing meaningful relationships, sharing lived experiences and absorbing the pain to create a space for dialogue were some of the elements that paved a way for a resilient future. The lessons learnt is enormously valuable as highlighted by Dr Bawa and Dr Ahmed.
