One day. Millions of journeys. Public transport connects people to opportunity, services, and each other every day. As we mark World Public Transport Day, we also highlight the importance of making these journeys safer.

Even as floods impact parts of the country, the drought crisis continues to push millions of Kenyans to the brink. More than 3.3 million people need food assistance, 1.5 million urgently need water, and over 200,000 children are battling severe acute malnutrition. Communities across arid and semi-arid counties are facing a deepening humanitarian crisis. Kenya Red Cross is on the on the ground providing water, food assistance, nutrition support and health services but the scale of need continues to grow. The drought is worsening. Urgent support is needed to save lives and protect livelihoods.
