The 1st 2026 @IcicNetExCo meeting highlighted the importance of this year’s Conference proposed theme on information integrity! ICIC ExCo Chair Dervishi emphasized: “we have a responsibility to ensure that public information is accurate, reliable, and accessible.”

[Call for Papers] The @CHR_HumanRights, @UPTuks, @ACHPR and the African Court on Human and Peoples'​ Rights, African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child invites submissions for fully developed articles and case discussions proposing to make ground-breaking academic-style contributions to the human rights discourse in Africa. The year 2026 is of particular significance to the African human rights system. It marks 40 years since the entry into force of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, the human rights treaty at the core of the system, on 21 October 1986. It also commemorates 20 years since the Court opened its doors and started its operations in 2006. Although the contributions are expected to take a continental (African) approach to the issues they cover, country-specific or sub-regional level case studies that relate to the African regional human rights system will also be considered. In so far as methodology is concerned, contributions adopting multidisciplinary and empirical approaches are highly encouraged. Fully developed articles (of no more than 10,000 words, footnotes included) and case discussions (of no more than 8,000 words, footnotes included) should be submitted, before or by 31 July 2026, by email to ahry@up.ac.za
