Congratulations to Dr Lucy Skinner on completion of her PhD and to our BSc Leather Technology students on their graduation. What a beautiful day!

Thanks to Trumpler for running a workshop on garment leather for our 2nd yr leather technology students. Steve Trantum and Matthew Dunning guided our students in the preparation of some beautiful garment leathers from pickled Dorper sheep skins. (Thanks NTE Forestall Mimosa)

While some of our researchers are at FILK, Dr Andrew Ballantyne presented his 'hot off the press' study into the bisphenol content of leather to the UON Research Conference. This work has been accepted for presentation at the IULTCS2023 in Chengdu, China @FASTresearchUON

This morning, our ICLT students had the opportunity to visit @DaniSpA_1950 in Arzignano, Italy. With a full tour of the factory, the group was able to see the complete leather making process from beginning to end on an industrial scale. Thank you! @fashionuon @uninorthants_uon

This afternoon the ICLT students continued their Italian trip with a visit to Gemata. They learned about rollercoating, and also the latest in transfer coatings ‘Greenfinish’. @FashionUoN @UniNorthants @FASTresearchUON

The ICLT student TFL trip 2023 has officially started with a welcome from Mauro Magnaguagno and Marika Peretti. The annual event started in 2001, and with a short pause due to Covid this makes it the 20th time the trip has run!
