📚 Our forthcoming book on "Multi-Textual Constitutions of the World" is dedicated to Ran Hirschl @UofT @UofTJackmanLaw, my colleague, teacher, and friend. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽 I first met Ran when I began graduate studies @Harvard in 2007. At the time, he was the Jeremiah Smith, Jr. Visiting Professor @Harvard_Law. I stopped by his office hours, and we hit it off. Since then, he has been a source of advice, encouragement, friendship, scholarly critique, inspiration, and more. He is truly one of a kind. And his own book, coming soon, will once again (as his prior books have done) reorient the entire field of constitutional studies. 📜 Our book highlights, explains, and theorizes an understudied physical dimension of constitutions, namely that many of them consist of several self-standing authoritative documents rather than a single, unified text.
