In #Paktia, families displaced by recent fighting are trying to get by. Together with @ARCSAfghanistan, @ICRC_Af has provided cash assistance to over 3,000 families in Zazai Aryoub & Dand-e-Patan, helping them cover urgent needs like food & shelter during this difficult time.

Killing or injuring healthcare workers, bombing hospitals, targeting ambulances, isn’t just a "war consequence"; it’s a collapse of humanity. Under international humanitarian law, patients and humanitarian workers are protected along with the hospitals they work in and the ambulances they rely on.

Caring for others, far from home. #Displaced more than once, Rana, like many medical staff at Marjayoun Governmental #Hospital, now lives there with her family so care doesn’t stop. Across southern #Lebanon, many are living this reality.

📍Afghanistan | Following multiple airstrikes in Kabul on 16 March, hundreds were left injured and in urgent need of care. @ICRC_Af delivered emergency medical supplies to Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital, supporting doctors and nurses working tirelessly to save lives.

📍Ukraine | Ongoing hostilities continue to pose serious risks for civilians. @ICRC_ua provided the Emergency Response Team of @RedCrossUkraine, in Kharkiv, with an additional fully equipped ambulance. This vehicle is essential for safely transporting people from frontline areas.

To support those forced to flee due to the ongoing fighting in Kharkiv & Donetsk Regions, we delivered 2,000 hygiene kits to @RedCrossUkraine in Kharkiv. This essential aid will be distributed to people at a transit point in Kharkiv, helping them meet basic hygiene needs.

In Lebanon, escalating hostilities are turning lives upside down, as damage to civilian infrastructure disrupts access to essential services. Civilians and the infrastructure they rely on must never be part of the fight. Mamdouh Zaabal, ICRC's head of subdelegation in Tyre, Lebanon, shares 👇🏽

Recent clashes forced thousands of families to flee, & many arrived with nothing. The @ICRC, together with @ARCSAfghanistan, provided cash assistance to 3,500 displaced families in Achin & Ghani Khail, #Nangarhar, helping them buy essentials as they begin to rebuild their lives.
