It was a pleasure engaging with the Board Members of @UnitedKenyaClub during a governance and leadership session focused on effective management of meetings, Board–management boundaries, committee effectiveness, conflict of interest, collective responsibility and institutional unity. At the Institute, we recognise that members’ clubs are unique institutions built on shared identity, heritage, relationships and a strong sense of ownership. This makes sound governance essential in ensuring that “our Club” inspires stewardship rather than entitlement, unity rather than factions, and strategic oversight rather than operational interference. We remain committed to supporting members’ clubs to strengthen their governance structures, professionalise meetings, clarify leadership roles, manage conflicts constructively and build institutions that serve both present and future generations.
