#MyRehabGoals for #ICURehabDay25 Recovery from critical illness can take up to 18 months. People need support and rehabilitation to enable them to thrive after critical illness, not just survive. Goal setting is crucial in rehabilitation. icusteps.org/rehabilitation

Headway UK - the brain injury association
Planning a summer holiday this year? More and more holiday providers are recognising the needs and preferences of disabled travellers - but a little forward planning can still make all the difference. Have you travelled after a brain injury? We’d love to hear what worked for you (or what you wish you’d known). Share your experiences in the comments.

💬 "We need more neurodivergent people taking part. That's not just as participants, but also involved in designing, developing and delivering the research." Social media influencer @neuro_lou is a co-investigator on the NIHR-funded ORIGIN programme. The programme is designing an online arts and culture platform to support mental health in underrepresented 16- to 24-year-olds, including neurodivergent young people. Now she is encouraging more neurodivergent people to get involved in research - as both participants and by helping to design, develop and deliver studies. Read a Q&A with Lou about her experiences at bepartofresearch.nihr.ac.uk/news-and-featu…

As the government looks to crack down on phone use in schools, this may be worrying for students who rely on their phone to check that the person they care for is ok. This video, made by a young carer, explains why having access to a phone to contact home if needed can be so important.

We all should be using tools to detect #delirium. But not all tools perform well in practice - some show much lower rates of detection in the real-world than in practice. -- check tool performance -- it's not enough to implement & achieve good completion rates.
