BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society founded Indigenous Disability Awareness Month (IDAM) in November. In 2015, recognition was officially declared by BC & in 2019, SK & MB joined. In 2021, IDAM became international with the Kāpō Māori Aotearoa, in New Zealand joining.
