Hi friends of #IDJClub we are exploring alternative spaces for our community to rebuild and hopefully restore the good times we had with journal club. Given the current state of affairs on X we owe to ourselves and our audience. Hope you follow us on threads.

As mentioned in our post this is an exploration of options and we went with what seem to have the greatest potential for mass migration and functionality to run a JC. We will hate to lose our friends in the EU zone.

Where are we planning to go when Twitter is swallowed up by Elon Musk's ego/intolerance? Feels like a good time to explore the many alternatives I don't have bandwidth to participate in >1 social media platform @Roxytonin @drcjar @davidadambarr @dopapus @PWGTennant @petermacp

@NephroSeeker @hswapnil I don't this there is clarity of this rumored paying for access requirement. Neither Facebook nor IG require a paid subscription for use in the EU. It's just taking the time needed to clear the regulation regulations in the region. We shall see. socialmediatoday.com/news/new-backe…

@hswapnil @IDJClub As an EU person- I would say no one in their righ mind (but influencers and their gangs) will pay 13-15 euros (double Netflix pice, 1-1.5-2.5x our internet connection price to get to Threads. In Europe will be free or nothing (almost)

@hswapnil They are currently going through with compliance requirements to get approval to launch in the EU but it should be launched soon. It's owned by Meta which already has Facebook, IG and WhatsApp working in the EU so this is a matter of time.🤞

@IDJClub Curious about threads - AFAIK it’s not available in EU….isnt that a problem?

@AnnaApostolopo3 The anemia comes from the AMBd One of the many toxicities (though not sure the mechanism off hand - @boulware_dr? I assume its really mediated? ) #IDJClub

@IDJClub The better safety profile of the intervention arm (not sure where the anemia is coming from…) makes it appealing for oncologic pts for sure :) #IDJClub

Let's discuss My impression: This is the largest RCT on CM to date and it was very well done. It definitively answers the Question for which it was designed (Rx of CM in PWH in Africa) Do you agree? #IDJClub
