I know it’s annoying to complain about pitching moves in a blowout, but I really think Alby should have kept Akin in. 4 outs on 11 pitches let him carry and keep the bullpen fresh. Now cano stumbled and more relievers will be needed. Little decisions could have long impacts.

Predicting the @orioles will option Nunez down to AAA for a fresh bullpen arm, then they will be optioned for a SP for Thursday. From there I imagine that starter will be swapped out for another pen arm before the off day next Monday.

Orioles starters for doubleheader tomorrow: Game 1: Brandon Young Game 2: Trevor Rogers This means the Orioles will need a starting pitcher next week, probably Wednesday or Thursday. They do have Albert Suarez, who was starting for Norfolk, in the bullpen as a potential option.
