For the first time, natural gas connectivity has reached the north bank of the Brahmaputra, enabling linkages with city gas distribution networks, industries, tea gardens, untapped ONGC gas reserves, and major consumers such as Numaligarh Refinery Limited, 4/6

The network spans approximately 553 km across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland, creating a vital corridor for the transportation of natural gas across the region. 3/6

Reliable energy in the Northeast requires infrastructure built for its terrain. Through the North East Gas Grid, IGGL is developing an underground pipeline network that reduces dependence on long road based fuel transport and strengthens supply stability across the region.

IGGL’s Gas Transmission Agreement with NEGDCL marks a key step towards expanding city gas distribution, improving access to natural gas, and supporting a cleaner energy future for the region.

Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) has signed a MoU with Duliajan Numaligarh Pipeline Limited (DNPL) for the interconnection of their natural gas pipeline networks, reinforcing collaboration towards a robust, integrated, and efficient gas infrastructure in the NE and beyond.
