#IISERPune welcomes student delegates from across Maharashtra for Phase VI @EBSB_YuvaSangam programme to the campus!! We also welcome dignitaries from All India Council for Technical Education @AICTE_INDIA coordinating the programme!! #YuvaSangam is a flagship programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat #EBSB, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at fostering national integration, cultural exchange, and experiential learning among youth across the country. @EBSB_Edumin @EduMinOfIndia The state of #Maharashtra is paired with the state of #AndhraPradesh, and #IISERPune and #IITTirupati are the Nodal Institutions from the two states. The Maharashtra studdent delegation will visit Andhra Pradesh for a week in May 2026. Similarly, a delegation of students from across Andhra Pradesh will be hosted by IISER Pune for visiting Maharashtra for a week in June 2026. The #IISERPune Coordinating Team is looking forward to interacting with the delegates and to their onward journey to @iit_tirupati !!

Mapping the Indian crust using magnetic sensors New research from @IISERPune has successfully dated the deep ocean for the first time. Researchers Mohammad Ismaiel and Kolluru Sree Krishna have dated the crust beneath the Bay of Bengal to 92 million years ago. Their study solves the geological puzzle regarding the formation of the Indian Ocean.
