i guarantee people would complain about this and outside fans would criticize his regression when in reality a 140 wRC+ would be T-5th for primary catchers since 2010 lol ‘12 Posey, ‘25 Raleigh, ‘13 Mauer, ‘14 Posey, and ‘11 Avila are in the group, that’s it.

Avila and Mauer (in those seasons) also weren’t anywhere near the defensive catchers that Raleigh is. This would be a ≈ 7.0 fWAR season for Cal. There’s only been 20 7.0 fWAR seasons from catchers since the mound was lowered.
