@ZennyHunter I do believe some overall changes to monster wounding in general with TU 1.5 if memory serves me correct. I also think I’ll do a quick run through of Wild’s story before the DLC because I remembered really enjoying it

So I've been playing through Wilds using a fresh save file, I cant stress enough how different the new player experience is now.
I recommend everyone to try it out while waiting for the expansion.

It's open world having a lot of empty space and not being filled on every inch with cities and NPCs and content is not a bad thing at all. Taking calming vista rides between it's fighting content is amazing breather and serves similar purpose to Shadow of the Colossus open world.

@JeanFeliz_ I don’t have RDNA 4 GPU or Nvidia one so the shadows look like a grainy mess; but, the game is a very enjoyable sandbox game.

- quite enjoy the puzzles
- grappling system is amazing
- you can move and explore however you want with the mounts and movement system
- hand to hand combat is not overshadowed by weapon combat.
I wish the story get better the more I play because it is just bad right now.

19 hours on Crimson Desert already, so here my thoughts about it so far. - good exploration/decent open world - story is non existent even after it gains some “strength” after building the Greymane base and unlocking your second character. - combat is pretty good -

@RoseKaedae You can experience pre IB MHW. You can search up a video on how to play older versions of steam games but basically you go to SteamDB & use the game codes in Steams console command to download a previous version of the game. You obviously can’t use online though

For the former I just want to re-experience the full breadth of my favorite MH game as close to what I did back 8 years ago (AUGHH) that is possible with post-IB changes to base World
For the latter I want to see how Rise feels as a traditional MH game and how that changes it

The next MH things I'm gonna do once I wrap up S3 is replay through World as thoroughly as possible (no defender, doing base World endgame in HR, not doing IB TU content till MR100+) and doing Rise without using wirebugs, riding, silkbinds etc unless mandatory

@MHFZZEnjoyer A lot of the review just has outdated info. I guess that’s the problem with long-form content where you’re not able to easily correct info if it proves inaccurate, or at least not without delaying the video by a lot. But even a comment correcting some of info would be nice

@Sa2Learn @Lunay678 Interesting, you might be swaying my opinion on Magna. Although if Capcom wanted to have a monster whose ecology had them pray on large carnivores they shouldn't have based it on a animal that primarily uses ambush hunting. To me that feels like a bastardization of a tiger

@IIzeyaa @Lunay678 I hate word limits, but as for the tobi thing? Ehh I don’t think it’s as bad as I’ve seen it made to be. Tobi attempts to fight an Anjanath for some reason, genprey try to fight Steve, and Quema tries to fight Rathian. I think MH devs just like to see things fight no matter what

@IIzeyaa Malzeno in concept isn't bad, but imo clashes with how that concept is pulled off. Instead of fighting off the Qurio with something far more effective like fire, it uses its wings like swords and shields??

@Sa2Learn @Lunay678 I'd say Magnamalo is much more whacky than Ark. So much so that in its intro cutscene the only way Magna gets a kill is a Tobi suddenly deciding to be suicidal. I don't even want to get into the idea of a predator having a ton of heavy spikes when it's based on a ambush predator

@IIzeyaa @Lunay678 Yeah I can get behind that! Though you also have to admit that this is monster hunter which is not rooted in reality. A lot of bull can happen and it’s why Arkveld is still a monster I love, but we’re talking about which one feels more like a character and that’s Arky for sure.
