@IMBmicroscopy The beans? I don't freeze, they keep okay for the three weeks or so it takes to go through them in a vacuum container.

@bluesocks81 @DrNickCondon @NerdyCammy @DrSpringy We're finding due to space restraints/data ingest/outgest (is that a word?) that this works well for us. We're generating around 2GB/s and can copy out at 1-10GB/s in a small form factor within the acquisition PC. Sure it's not the cheapest option but it works great for us.

@DrNickCondon @NerdyCammy @DrSpringy While on paper you "may" get 12 GB/s, unlikely irl as no data is sequentially read and most software cannot access/process data that quick. Money is better spent on jbod arrays of spinning disks. Cheaper/better R/W endurance and same real world I/O

Sometimes you just need to throw more storage at the problem... #microscopy #bigdata
