@NKira24 Your decision making should improve alongside your mechanical skills. For decision making, study an image for a minute, then draw it from memory. For mechanics, use a 5 minute timer. adjust if needed, but keep it challenging. 20 minutes a day for a month should do it.

Serious question: How do you guys manage to draw so fast? I always take a long time to do a drawing that could take me at least an hour, but I need advice on how to do it faster 😭

@nanonano_me I've been one of the lucky few to have experienced maaya Sakamoto and S.K.I.N ( yoshiki, gackt, miyavi, sugizo) at anime expo in early 2000s. I'll always carry those amazing memories with me 🙏

If you’re a fan of Japanese music and live outside of Japan, I would be so grateful if you take a moment to read this🙏 If you’ve ever wondered why more Japanese artists don’t reach out and do shows & tours overseas, the reason is pretty simple and the main one is the hurdle of selling tickets. There is only a SMALL percentage of artists that can rely on the power of big labels/agents to promote their shows internationally. Even in Japan, selling out shows is a lot more challenging than in past years, due to people just being satisfied with digital content. And considering it costs even more to bring a tour overseas, you can imagine how many artists are willing to LOSE money by doing so, if any. It’s not just about the artist not being popular or sufficient enough, or that they don’t have the will to bring their content to fans around the world. In fact, there are so many fellow artists around me that I highly respect, telling me they wish they could do shows overseas, but know it’s not realistically possible, and as someone who yearns for the same thing, it really, really hurts inside. More importantly, it hurts most that fans around the world will often never ever be able to see a show of their favorite Japanese artist. I’m not trying to ask for pity, nor demand anything, unless this resonates with you. But if it does, and you want to know what you can do to help us reach you with our music, it’s really very simple. Please go follow artist’s socials. Please go subscribe to their Youtube channels. Please find them on Spotify. Please interact with them by commenting and letting them know you’re there to support them. Please share your passion with the people around you. AND PLEASE, don’t miss the opportunity to buy a ticket and GO to their shows, when that miraculous opportunity comes, whether it’s a solo or event stage. I am not exaggerating when I say it IS a miracle and it might never happen again. I know writing all this isn’t gonna change much, but I just hope it reminds you that every listener, every fan, every second of support matters in keeping music alive, particularly in this generation. Thanks for listening, if you made it this far🫶 Let’s keep Rocking On. NANO

@sunnkssdseraph How do you break that cycle? Like, im so stuck in it that it even hurts to overthink/overanalyze about breaking that overthinking/overanalyzing (and that's literally as my heart speeds up, blood pressure spikes, i get nauseous/dizzy, ibs and severe hyperhidrosis, etc).

OW maps could be a lot better in some very obvious, well-defined ways: • Railings shouldn't block shots and should automatically break when you walk into them • Doorways shouldn't have lips around them that catch movement • Map geometry should be "slippery" so if you are S-keying against it you should easily slide past things instead of getting caught on them • Poles, signs, and antennae should be kept out of sightlines or not block shots • Backdrops should be visually clean so it's easier to see enemies against them (no complex visuals on common sightlines) • It should always be obvious if you can or can't stand on top of something, you shouldn't be sliding off of stuff that looks standable this stuff was mostly solved in counterstrike 20 years ago

Is this why I naturally prefer dim/warm lighting? This would also explain why I can't stand LED lights - Hospitals, cafeterias, car headlights, etc.

Your visual cortex burns 44% of your brain's energy budget. Turning off the lights in the shower is the fastest way to slash that load to near zero. Your brain is 2% of your body weight but burns 20% of your total energy. Visual processing alone eats almost half of that. Every photon hitting your retina triggers a cascade of neural signaling that demands oxygen, glucose, and ATP at rates higher than almost any other cognitive function. When you kill the lights, you're removing the single largest energy load on your cortex. That freed-up metabolic capacity gets reallocated. This is where it gets interesting. A 2022 study from the Laureate Institute for Brain Research measured what happens when you strip sensory input from anxious patients. High-frequency heart rate variability, the gold standard marker of parasympathetic activation, increased significantly compared to controls. Blood pressure dropped. Breathing rate fell. The nervous system shifted from sympathetic dominance to parasympathetic mode within minutes. The warm water adds a second mechanism. Core body temperature rises during the shower. When you step out, temperature drops rapidly. That cooling signal triggers melatonin production and primes the circadian system for sleep. Layer darkness on top: no photons suppressing melatonin through the retinal ganglion cells, no blue-light signaling to the suprachiasmatic nucleus that it's still daytime. The shower is doing three things simultaneously. Reducing cortical energy demand by eliminating visual input. Activating the parasympathetic nervous system through sensory reduction. Triggering thermoregulatory sleep signaling through the heat-then-cool cycle. A $0 float tank that takes 10 minutes.

Pewdiepie reveals how to break free from the algorithm “A lot of this is going to sound crazy but you’ve gotta hear me out, it’s a step by step process. I’m not saying you should do all of it but you should try some of it” “Step 1 is creating friction. I put all social media and attention hungry apps in a second profile and I can’t understate how much this changed my life. Those 5-6 seconds it takes to switch profiles stops me every time and makes me think, is this what I want to be doing?” “The second thing I did was self hosting. The effect that had on me is I’m not the product anymore. The things I use are mine and because they’re not free, I’m not paying with my privacy. I think the main difference is ads and news don’t reach me” “Next thing I did was disable Shorts, I like YouTube but I hate how Shorts is everywhere I can’t escape it” “Then I unfollowed everyone. You don’t have to do this, this is definitely a me thing, I just got really fed up” “Next, get a DNS blocker. You can remove ads completely, most of it won’t even reach your device” “I think you owe it to yourself to take some time today and start building your tech fence” “These tech companies don’t care about you, so you’ve got to care about yourself. The cheat code is building some friction and filtering out the noise, that’s your defence and your cure”
