@Dave_Hone @TM9380 @zhejiang0pterus No, this is not a publicly-available file unfortunately. This is being tweaked as part of the preparations for our upcoming Dinosaurs from the Mountain exhibit on Idaho's Cretaceous. Suski is the stand-in base for our ID tyrannosauroid.

Last week, 8-12 year old students had the opportunity to get "hands-on" during our REAL STEM Open House held at the @IMNH208. Activities included a rock walk, learning to draw like a scientist, and exploring the augmented reality sandbox.

@jrossibarra @miwipe81 It is true! We've got leaves preserved in consolidant (injected into the rock before splitting) from the Clarkia beds that are still green on display currently. We definitely understand that the DNA data can be further analyzed, but the leaves are green!

It’s been a whirlwind week for vert paleo: under the radar my first Masters student, Brenlee Shipps, published the main finding of her thesis. Organismal biologists can use the fine details of tooth shape to infer diet, but what about animals with no teeth? ❌🦷
The Anatomical Record@AnatRecord

How do you know what an animal eats if it doesn't have any teeth? Find out how a turtle's skull reveals its diet! New research by Brenlee Shipps , @_gondwannabe_ & Kenneth D. Angielczyk: doi.org/10.1002/ar.251…

SE Idaho and the IMNH are one of the best places in the world to research long-horned bison, Bison latifrons, who lived here during the last warm interglacial period. #nationalfossilday
