his smile makes hers grow wider, faint pink blossoming on her cheeks when she realizes she’s so openly happy. the rather rigid woman most know is someone else entirely in syril’s presence.

“What is that?” His smile only grows seeing her content with the gift he left for her, his ability to act surprised slipping. Syril has only seen her happy just a handful of times, but with each little considerate thought it becomes more frequent.

Blue eyes flick up when he hears the door of his office open and he smiles when it’s his friend. “Tessa, is there something you need?” He asks, feigning ignorance over the reason for her being here.
