Our goal with this leadership "circle" is to create a non-hierarchical governance structure. We spent a long time in talks figuring out a way to sea everyone equally on this council, and we are excited for the first ever IMSAC council to take their seats at this (virtual) table!

When I read statements like “First Nations communities in Alberta” it is misleading. Nations are not communities, nor are they “in the provinces.” Provinces were created after our Nations. The Provinces are in our Nations’ Territories. This Truth is necessary for Reconciliation.
