What separates big firms from small ones isn’t office space, structure, or number of lawyers. It’s pay. If you pay your lawyers below ₦400k, you’re not average you’re small, even with ₦30m or ₦100m briefs. The calibre of lawyers you can attract and retain determines everything. I recently heard of a partner who left for another firm just to become a senior associate because of pay. When people trade titles for stability, the market has spoken. End of discussion nothing no one can tell me.

NYSC portal is down again. Both the director of ICT at NYSC and Sidmac need to resign. This is the height of incompetence for a public critical system. They can’t deliver a simple web application.
