1 in 4 girls have been contacted by a stranger online, rising to 1 in 3 among 15-17 year-olds. Ofcom’s new guidance could help, but only if Government makes it statutory. IM is calling on Government to act so platforms are required to implement the guidance, not just “urged” to.
