The Fly-Off isn’t just about the aircraft in the air — it’s about the collaboration, problem-solving, and determination that gets it there. Every launch is a reminder of what passionate engineers can achieve together. #throwbackthursday #UASChallenge

Yesterday we launched our new report, Unlocking the Potential of Metamaterials, with the UK Metamaterials Network📝
Metamaterials are poised to transform many engineering sectors, and the UK has a major opportunity to lead in this fast-growing field. The report outlines breakthrough applications in health, sustainability, space and aviation. It also calls for action to accelerate progress from lab to market by strengthening research, scaling manufacturing, developing skills and raising awareness.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch event and technology showcase.
