It's clear that Capcom is following the uglification of the female figure. They're not full-on woke with it, but they have DEFINITELY leaned in that direction. Studies show that most men do NOT like short hair on women. The fact Capcom did this to both "side" girls shows they're sliding in a little of that woke with what they know they can get away with. Even Claire's chubbified face, and Jill's complete rework - it is all too evident that Capcom no longer serves the male gaze. They may make good games, but their reputation as one of the BEST developers is starting to crack. They're riding the fence on ideology trying to please two opposing audiences. I just hope that the current pendulum swinging back to normalcy isn't too far back for Capcom to realize the shift that's happening; a return to normalcy. As this game was in development for a good while, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with Requiem, but moving forward, they have zero excuse to go down this path any farther. Time to course correct while the iron is hot, Capcom.
