“From Oars to Sails - Skill, Strength and Spirit combined.” 🌊💪 ⛵ Covering a challenging 32 km stretch from INWTC, Chilka to Satapada Lake Mouth and back in 20 DK Whalers, 440 trainees successfully participated in the Satapada Lake Mouth Sailing Camp (24 - 25 Apr 26). Focused on marinisation, the camp imparted training in boat rigging, man overboard and survival drills. Competitions in tent pitching, boat pulling and tug of war reinforced teamwork and resilience. The camp concluded with a cultural evening showcasing trainees’ talent. Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, #CNS inaugurated ‘Vijendra 2’, a new 96-unit married accommodation for junior sailors at Mahavir Annexe in Kochi on 20 April 26. Named after Vijendra Pal Singh Tomar, Seaman, a Kirti Chakra (posthumous) recipient, this facility will enhance the quality of life and welfare infrastructure for naval personnel and families in Kochi station.

As part of Ship’s Anniversary Celebrations, Station Commander Cmde B Deepak Aneel flagged off a three days (06 - 08 Mar 26), Motor Bike Rally and Boat Expedition from #INSChilka. The outreach programme aimed to motivate youth about career opportunities in the #IndianNavy under the #AgnipathScheme and to enhance civil–military liaison. The bike rally team visited various educational institutions across Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Cuttack and nearby areas, and interacted with students.
