On Feb. 17, Congressman Jefferson Shreve (IN-06) visited the Statehouse to speak with Senate and House interns. He spoke about his role as an elected official and how he continues to serve Hoosiers. Thank you to Congressman Shreve for taking time to meet with our interns!

This opportunity allowed interns to learn more about our judicial branch and ask career-focused questions. Thank you to everyone involved in making this event possible for our interns!

Last week, Senate Republican interns had the opportunity to observe an oral argument in the Indiana Court of Appeals. Interns experienced a case in the courtroom and had lunch with Court Judges Nancy Vaidik, Robert Altice Jr. and Cale Bradford.

Our interns are officially on the job now that the 2026 session is back in action. Throughout session, Senate Republican interns will learn more about the legislative process and work along side Senators and staff.

This week, we welcomed the incoming class of interns to the Statehouse for Organization Day! Interns had the chance to meet senators and see how the Senate operates before we reconvene in January.
