Despite the current geopolitical situation involving major energy producers, our energy imports are secure and continue to flow from different sources using non-Hormuz routes. We are comfortably placed and are able to meet the energy requirements of our citizens. There is no shortage of petrol, diesel, kerosene, ATF or fuel oil. The availability of petrol, diesel, aviation turbine fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil is fully assured. Retail outlets across the country are stocked and supply chains for these products are functioning normally. Domestic piped gas to homes and CNG for vehicles receive 100% supply with no cuts. Modi Govt’s foremost priority is that the kitchens of India’s 33+ crore families, especially the poor and the underprivileged, do not face any shortage. Domestic supply is fully protected and the delivery cycle is unchanged. In a major decision, 20% of the average monthly Commercial LPG requirement will be allocated from today to restaurants and eateries by OMCs, in coordination with the State Governments so that there is no hoarding or black marketing. This is not the moment for rumour-mongering or fake narratives. India is navigating the most severe global energy disruption in recorded history. Crude supply is flowing. Gas is prioritised for homes and farms. LPG production has been stepped up by 28%. Like we have done in the past, now is the time for the nation to come together and overcome this challenge. Under the visionary leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji, India became the first Global South nation to host the global AI Summit and laid down a vision for the future. PM Modi Ji’s MANAV formulation about giving Al an open sky while keeping command in human hands draws a line many advanced economies have been reluctant to draw. These principles now carry multilateral weight through the Delhi Declaration, adopted at the summit. This government arrived at Al through the most ambitious digital public infrastructure programme any democracy has undertaken. UPI processed over 228 billion transactions in 2025, worth roughly $34 trillion. The JAM trinity has delivered over $3.48 lakh crore in welfare savings since 2015. No other country has built identity, payments, and entitlement delivery at this scale within a single policy arc. If the logic of digital public infrastructure was to connect every citizen to the state, the logic of Al infrastructure is to connect every citizen to capability. Consider what was announced at AI Impact Summit 2026. Microsoft: $50 billion by 2030 for the Global South, with $17.5 billion already committed to India. Google: The America-India Connect initiative, anchored by $15 billion over five years. Amazon Web Services: $8.3 billion in Maharashtra. Adani Group: $100 billion toward renewable energy-powered Al data centres by 2035. Larsen & Toubro: A proposed venture with Nvidia to build India's largest gigawatt-scale Al factory. The IndiaAl Mission's national compute cluster has crossed 38,000 GPUs and is scaling to 58,000, available to startups at roughly one-third of global cost. The government's target of $200 billion in Al infrastructure investment over the next two years is not aspiration: the commitments already announced bring it within reach. The best is yet to come! Youth power is both the agent of change and the greatest beneficiary of change. Delighted to host the Punjab contingent of youthful, intelligent and knowledgeable Young Leaders and achievers who are in New Delhi to participate in Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026. The brilliant youth, drawn from various colleges of Punjab were also joined by their friends from other states and a foreign participant from Lesotho, shared their experiences, ideas and aspirations with clarity and enthusiasm to power PM Sh @narendramodi Ji’s vision of Viksit Bharat. We interacted at length over nuances of India’s energy sector including sustainability and affordability of fuel, various visionary welfare schemes launched under the leadership of PM Modi Ji, India’s transition from women-centred development to women-led development and aspirations of youth as young leaders for the future that lies ahead for them as citizens of a powerful and viksit nation. It was indeed heartening to see the way my young guests, accompanied by state officials, were full of hope, energy and confidence. A very accomplished and award winning poet also recited a poem, touching upon syncretic values that India nurtures and the way forward for a nation united by its vivid diversity.
