During #RamazanBayramı it's common to visit the graves of loved ones. In Bursa, people visit Turkey's first #petcemetery, where 1,500 cats, dogs, birds & exotic animals are buried.

In Turkiye, the tradition of "Askıda Ekmek"- "bread on the shelf" (a practice that has survived from the Ottoman era to the present day)It is an anonymous tradition of solidarity where those who are well-off buy extra bread from bakeries or grocery stores, pay for it, and leave it for those in need. 😊

In parts of Italy, people can buy an extra coffee called a “caffè sospeso.” It’s paid for in advance so someone who can’t afford one can walk in and enjoy a coffee for free. Kindness passed forward.

The lovely Mrs Yildirim has been driving a service bus to take kids to school for 15 years, over mountains and difficult roads in Tunceli, Turkey. She also takes patients to hospital when they don't have their own transport.
