Players who sought and accepted better opportunities abroad get banned for 3 years. Player who committed far worse acts in society get second and even third chance. Funny, right? Make it make sense PBA. 🙃

@BolimaDale JCY18 and MC47 are the players you will call hall of famer built. Yung isa probinsyano na kilala na sa buong pinas before entering UAAP. While the other is fil-am na minahal ng masa. For Cardona, he is good. No doubt with his talent, but his ego is taller than him.

Safe to say ba na JCY and MC47 were one-two in terms of top two-guards in the 2000s up to early 2010s? Is Mac Cardona third? Close to JCY and MC47? Gary David? Hontiveros? Who'd be top 5?

@kilikilishot I think a new coach or management should keep the good that the predecessor did, tapos add tweaks and fit the system and philosophy to your players.

Seems like go zone 'yung go-to defensive adjustment ng mga teams sa PBA to change the flow of a game. Terrafirma going zone, working so far.

@BolimaDale @MagicGilasFan Dapat any kid starting in elementary should learn how to play in the perimeter. Passing, dribbling, lateral quickness, shooting. Screening and boxing out na din.

@IPC889 @MagicGilasFan This has to start at the grade school, high school levels. Pag college level na, it's more about winning na and less about player development.

Imagine if Lucero didn't have to play like a center during 2/3 of the PBA conferences. He'd be able to trial and sharpen his perimeter skills and not have to worry about rebounding too much. Such is the handicap the PBA puts on local bigs.

@MagicGilasFan To add, Philippine basketball should be focusing on developing the following bigs: 1. PFs who can shoot 2. Kelly Williams-type bigs who can shoot and be versatile on defense 3. Centers who can defend in FIBA 4. Bigs who can play both 4 and 5, similar to AJ Edu

@MagicGilasFan As a general rule, the best local bigs should be able to play the 4. Sana rin may way na i-encourage ang mga types ni Zav na mag-wing, whether as a 2, 3, or 4.

@MagicGilasFan Note: Arana is also best built for a 4. 6'6" without shoes with a 6'9" wingspan. He became a center in the NCAA with the FSA ban.

@MagicGilasFan The PBA doesn't have a lot of starter-caliber players who are centers. Just Japeth, June Mar, and Arana. To get another starter caliber center, imports are the way to go generally.

@kilikilishot Not a stretch to have Wade at 3 among 2s. Name any 2 better than Wade other than Jordan or Kobe.

Before I got preoccupied, I meant to post na it's great Kai Balunggay is back. May ligament tear pala and not just a sprain. In an alternate timeline, he, Lucero, David, Policarpio, etc. would be electric and athletic 6-6 up wings, not 4s and 5s.

@MagicGilasFan Dapat nga, may way to encourage taller imports to become resident imports. I think, imports above 6'6" should be allowed to play in the Govs' if they had played a certain number of conferences in the PBA, around 2 or 3 at least.

Kung ayaw talaga palitan yung height limit sa Govs Cup, dapat taasan na lang to 6'8. Baka pa ma-encourage mag double stint yung mga magaling. Isang mobile big man na 6'8 papalag sa parehong conference. Tapos yung mga locals natin Balunggay, Lucero etc di na center 2/3 conferences
