At the plenary session titled “Ocean Intelligence: Data, Forecasting & Climate Risk,” @Abinash0294 Global Sector Head – Climate Change & Sustainability at IPE Global, joined a distinguished panel alongside Madhan R (Chief Scientist, CSIR-NIO), Prof. Montserrat Sole (Institute of Marine Science, Spain), and Dr. Subhanjoy Mohanty (Imperial College London), with the session chaired by Dr. Arabinda Mitra, Former Scientific Secretary, Office of the PSA to the Government of India. When women are supported during pregnancy, they give the next generation a stronger start in life. As we continue celebrating International Women’s Day, today we spotlight the importance of maternal health and nutrition. At IPE Global, we lead an innovative Cash Plus approach to strengthen maternal nutrition. By combining financial support with behaviour change strategies, we work to ensure that women and their families have the knowledge, support, and resources needed to make healthier choices during pregnancy. In partnership with the Government Of Rajasthan, our initiatives have reached over 3.6 million pregnant women, contributing to meaningful improvements in maternal health and nutrition. These include greater dietary diversity, increased use of cash transfers for nutritious food, higher completion of antenatal care visits, and stronger awareness of maternal nutrition among women and their families. Building on this success, we are scaling the Cash Plus model across high-priority regions in India, ensuring that more women receive the support they need during pregnancy, when it matters most. At IPE Global, we are committed to strengthening community capacity for safer and flood-resilient cities. In collaboration with the Greater Chennai Corporation, and under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded Integrated Urban Flood Management for the Kosasthalaiyar Basin Project, the Institutional Strengthening and Reforms Consultancy (ISRC) IPE Global Ltd, team conducted a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) training programme in Chennai in February 2026 for 108 Women Self-Help Group (SHG) members from Zones III and VII. The programme aimed to strengthen the role of women in flood preparedness, safe rescue practices, and relief response, enabling SHG members to actively support communities during flood-related emergencies. Sessions focused on disaster preparedness, community-level response mechanisms, and practical actions to enhance resilience during extreme weather events. International Women’s Day 2026 The Greater Chennai Corporation celebrated International Women's Day 2026 under the theme Gender-Responsive Governance, carrying the message “Give to Gain.” The ISRC team, represented by IPE Global Ltd, facilitated the event in coordination with the SWD Department and Special Projects Department. Women professionals from GCC's Storm Water Drain department, Special Projects department, Gender Lab, PSC, GEF and ISRC teams came together to celebrate leadership, inclusion and the shared commitment to building equitable and inclusive institutions. We were honoured to have Ms. Rajeshwari, CE (General), Greater Chennai Corporation and Dr Amudha Hari, Consultant Gynaecologist, as our Special Guests, whose inspiring words encouraged participants to reflect on the importance of dignity, equality and supportive workplaces. At IPE Global, we are committed to strengthening frontline capacity for safer and flood-resilient cities. In collaboration with Greater Chennai Corporation, and under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded Integrated Urban Flood Management for the Kosasthalaiyar Basin Project, the Institutional Strengthening and Reforms Consultancy (ISRC) team IPE Global Ltd, conducted a focused training programme in Chennai in February 2026 for over 160 desilting and conservancy workers from Zones I, II (100 Participants) & III (60 Participants). The training aimed to enhance practical knowledge and safety awareness among frontline sanitation workers responsible for stormwater drain maintenance. Sessions covered safe maintenance practices, mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), occupational health and hygiene, and emergency response procedures. As part of the programme, a field-friendly IEC training booklet was also released to support workers with simple, practical guidance on safe and systematic stormwater drain maintenance practices.
